MHI appoints Sam Sykes as E-Commerce Director

New strategic hire supports ambitious expansion plans into Internet Retail International Mail and packet delivery

Bristol, July 2013 – Sam Sykes has been appointed as Director of E-Commerce for Mail Handling International (MHI).

Sam will be responsible for the development and deployment of E-commerce related activities at MHI. Working closely with Clients, operational and IT teams to drive the business to the next level. She has more than 15 years of experience in leading teams and working with fast growth companies to enable accelerated expansion.

Sam started her career in the Internet retail industry working in operations and distribution as a part of the original start up team for From there she built a reputation in the world of operational consulting working with companies such as Bathstore/ Wolseley, Maxeda Belgium and Premier foods to create innovative productivity and process solutions. She brought her expertise to The Book Depository as Operations Director and after seeing the company to purchase by Amazon in 2011 she moved her sights to the world of corporate strategy, where she has been helping Pharmaceuticals Companies develop and successfully implement their strategic intent.
