Due to the ongoing national strike actions of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Canada Post’s operations - including mail & parcel deliveries - have temporarily shut down.
The appointed federal mediator has recently announced that negotiations have broken down between Canada Post and the CUPW and have been suspended for the first time since the countrywide strike began on 15th November, citing ‘the parties remain too far apart on critical issues for mediation to be successful at this time’.
As such, please expect delays and disruption to items already lodged into the Canada Post network.
However – MHI are pleased to advise we have alternative tracked service solutions in place to help mitigate these issues and circumnavigate the Canada Post network, allowing customers to receive uninterrupted delivery into Canada at one of the busiest times of the year.
