At the end of 2020, MHI were honoured to receive not just one, but two awards at the Global Growth South-West awards. The recognition came in the form of the “International Company of the Year” and “Excellence in Innovation in International Trade” awards, among very tough competition across the South-West of England.
An international delivery specialist, the judges were impressed with MHI’s ability to keep their client’s international parcels moving overseas throughout the year; as well as the development of their innovative direct mail portal, SendVia.
Taking centre stage within these accomplishments was a youthful team of recent graduates from several universities across the country, and a couple of placement students too!
Represented are:
- University of the West of England
- University of Bath
- University of Swansea
- University of Plymouth
- University of Kent
- Manchester Metropolitan University
MHI have long fostered a culture of giving opportunities of real responsibility to graduates. MHI CEO, Paul Brown (Sheffield Hallam Alumni), is an honorary business fellow of the University of the West of England (UWE) and sits on the business and management advisory board, where he advocates for students becoming “SME-ready” when they graduate and enter the working world.
With key roles within software development, marketing, analytics, and operations, MHI’s team of graduates have spent most of the year designing and building software, whilst navigating our client’s exports and international carrier partners through COVID-19 enforced embargoes and Brexit challenges.
The ability to balance innovation and stability during a challenging year was a major contributor in the recognition of MHI’s award-winning success, and MHI’s graduate team have played a core part in this.
We hope to continue our growth in 2021, allowing us to recruit more graduates, who will help drive the company forward.
